The attack on the former US President Kennedy has been intensively investigated. Another part of the secret files has now been published. The US government has released numerous other sealed documents relating to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The nearly 1,500 documents of the US foreign intelligence service CIA and the Federal Police FBI have now been published on the website of the National Archives of the USA.  They show the extent of the efforts of the US investigators to find possible accomplices or clients of the assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. Possible connections to secret services of the Soviet Union, communist groups in Africa and the Italian mafia were examined. France Ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy Sentenced To One Year In Prison

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy  has been sentenced to one year in prison for illegal campaign funding. The Paris court ruled that the sentence would take the form of electronically monitored house arrest. The allegations go back to the 2012 presidential election campaign. "As a candidate, he failed to control costs," said the presiding judge in Paris.  Sarkozy stayed away from the verdict. According to his lawyer Thierry Herzog, he wants to appeal and contest the decision. The public prosecutor has asked for a year in prison, including six months on probation. Sarkozy's lawyers pleaded for acquittal for the Conservative who ruled the Élysée Palace from 2007 to 2012. 13 other defendants were found guilty with him. Haiti Presidential Assassination || Haiti Asks USA And UN To Send Troops

The government of the Caribbean state is hoping for support from foreign soldiers after the presidential assassination in Port-au-Prince. The US reacts dismissively. A representative of the Haitian government has requested US and UN troops to secure strategically important locations after the assassination of President Jovenel Moise. "We made this request during a conversation with the US Secretary of State and the United Nations," said Electoral Minister Mathias Pierre. The soldiers were to be used, among other things, to secure the ports and the airport. Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph confirmed the request. "We definitely need support and we have asked our international partners for help." After the assassination of the Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, chaos threatens the Caribbean country. The country has been in a deep political crisis for years. Following the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, four suspects were killed and two others were arrested. Police chief Léon Charles announced this on television. Three police officers have been captured in the meantime, but have since been released.
