Heavy Rains In Australia, Coastline Faces Worst Flooding In 50 Years

Australia's east coast is facing its worst flooding in 50 years due to heavy rains.

Rains in the eastern part of Australia have wreaked havoc in New South Wales, with many areas closed, major highways closed and several homes damaged.

According to officials, the situation in New South Wales is much worse than expected, with continuous rains pushing the water level in the dams to the limit and flood warnings still in 13 areas.

Continuous rains have raised water levels in rivers and dams, and thousands of people have been ordered to evacuate overnight in Sydney's low-lying areas.

The weather has also affected the delivery of the corona vaccine in New South Wales.

Heavy rains off Australia's east coast have triggered the worst flooding in 50 years, destroying hundreds of homes and displacing thousands.

The worst-hit areas are New South Wales, Australia's most populous state, and Lower Sydney, the state capital.

Roads have been closed in many places and schools have been declared closed on Monday.

Meteorologists said that the rains would continue for a few days due to which the situation could not improve for the next few days.
